Scarlett’s POV

“You know you’re being ungrateful, right? I came out here and risked my life for you, and you treat me like this?” I’m hurting now because that’s how I feel. He’s making me regret doing it.

“Ungrateful? No, I’m not being ungrateful. You’re being stupid! What if you had died?! Bullets were flying all over the damn place! Have you ever heard of a ricochet?” he grits his teeth hard, making them produce this aggravating gnashing sound.
