Chapter 64

Scarlett’s POV

“Should I cancel or should I reschedule?” I hasten up my pace to meet up with him.

He turns back to me with an expression that says, “Don’t be silly.”

“Well, I just want to make sure because it looks like a really important meeting.” I stand my ground and he turns back again.

“If I say cancel it, then you cancel it. Trust me, it’s not that important. Just a room full of nerds that I’m not willing to interact with.” He replies before disappearing into the office.

I run up to the doors and try to catch it before it shuts and I sigh in relief when I catch it before it goes shut. I hastily pull it open and push it close as fast as it was pushed open.

“Okay, I’ll cancel it. Your next appointment is due next week and...”

“Can you not remind me of my schedule a week before? That’s giving me a fucking headache.” He cuts me off, rubbing his temple with his fingers.

“I’m sorry but I thought that was my job.” I say
