Chapter 74
Scarlett’s POV
The next day, I wait until Gage is much more stable before heading out of the hospital. There are a lot of things that we need to handle as Miguel would be arriving at Los Angeles in just a two weeks.
I don’t bother to tell Gage where I’m going as he drifts off to sleep long before I even step out. The morning sun burns through my hair, scalding my scalp. I ask for a chopper and I’m granted access to it to reach my destination.
I step out of the chopper onto the bustling tarmac of Los Angeles international airport. My ink black hair is tousled by the wind from the rotor blades. My eyes move around almost inhumanly as I don’t miss a single detail of the tarmac.
I’m led off the tarmac and into the airport lounge and into an office. The middle aged lady sitting behind the desk looks up at me from the desktop screen and we’re left alone in the office.
“Good afternoon madam.” I greet and she nods her head in reply.
