“I remember the time you told me about when you were eight, and all those things you said that night that just couldn’t wait…”

“O… okay… I promise,” Sav immediately said. She didn’t want to hear or see him cry anymore, so she immediately did what he asked her to do. “I promise that you will forever be my best friend and that I will never, ever replace you. I also promise that I won’t ever get tired of you… that I won’t ever leave you in good and bad times… and that I won’t ever go on with my life without you…” As she was making all these promises, she was slowly rubbing his back.

Truthfully, Sav was really mad… but it was no use at that moment to be mad. She wanted to pull Winona’s hair and hurt her the way she was currently hurting her best friend, but she had no idea where Winona could be. And Trevor was in front of her, crying, and she couldn’t leave him alone there—it felt obvious to her that Trevor probably chose to cry in the middle of the dance floor just
