Chapter 14. A Pair of Women’s Shoes
Alice and Jeffry stared at the man in confusion; it turns out that their conversation had woken Harry up.
“Are our noises disturbing your sleep, Harry?” asked Jeffry with one eyebrow raised.
“According to you?” Harry asked curtly; he really didn’t like it when his sleep was disturbed. The man again held his head, which still hurt.
Witnessing her boss in pain, Alice also felt anxious.
“I am sorry, sir. In fact, I already warned Mr. Jeffry, but he still wants to meet you.” Alice revealed the facts.
“But I came here for something important, and I don’t know if you’re sick, Harry.” Jeffry explained his purpose for coming here.
“Yeah, well, let’s go to my room; we’ll talk inside.” Harry opened the door wide and allowed Jeffry to enter. While there, Alice is left alone.
