Chapter 15. Uninvited Guests
Harry stepped inside and glanced around the room. Until finally, his gaze stopped on a straight-haired woman who was sitting on the sofa with her back to Harry.
The man’s forehead furrowed as he tried to guess who the uninvited guest was.
“Sir—” A middle-aged woman approached Harry; she walked stealthily from the kitchen. The woman’s name is Emma; she is a worker at Harry’s house.
Harry turned his head. “Who is that woman?”
Emma whispered softly in Harry’s ear, “Mrs. Angeline.”
Harry sighed. He had expected it.
Emma scratched her head; she felt awkward with Harry. “I’m sorry, sir. I already forbade her, but she still forced her way in. I also told you that you would come home late. But she persisted and said she would wait for you to go home.” Emma spoke in a low voice so as not to be heard by Angeline, who was sitting not too far from them.
“She’s always been selfish. She’s been arbitrary,” said Harry.
