It’s nice to be back from home. Sardonia has its charms, but it’s ultimately too cold and isolated. Kane and I give ourselves a moment of reprieve before we have to go back to dealing with King Myenas. Against Queen Olga’s advice, Kane wants to try to have a talk with the other king.

The old vampire king isn’t known to leave his kingdom except for when he’s invited to a good party. Kane and I have to put together a party quickly that will entice the old king to come and have a chat with us. After having to put together the Moon Goddess Ball, I’d been hoping not to have another party for a long while, but at least I don’t have to plan this alone. Kane has been throwing parties in Castle Greystone since before I was even born.

He leaves most of the planning to the staff who already have a system in place for these occasions. He defers most of the decision making to the senior staff aside from the few things he absolutely has to give his opinion
