As they continued down the hall, Maddie could feel the tension radiating off the alpha. She tried to ignore it but it was hard to when she had a very strong feeling that a confrontation was going to happen, that things were going to get explosive. 

She felt like Vanessa being there was a blessing, but was it? Was the girl going to stop something from happening if it was going to happen?
