Chapter 135. Ice Packs

As soon as the alpha was gone and out of the living room, Maddie rushed to Jacob’s aid. She closed the distance between them and knelt down beside him on the floor. He looked like he was in pain but she knew that he was going to heal fast because of his fast-healing.

“Oh my god, I’m so sorry, Jacob,” She said, feeling guilt eating her up. It was because of her that the guy was taking beatings, it was something that he did not have to do but was doing anyway, for her.

He believed that it was broken and had a feeling that it was going to take longer than usual to heal this time. “I’m fine, Maddie, stop fussing,” He chuckled the words out even though it felt like his face was on fire due to the pain.
