Chapter 27. Invitations
Nate stood by what he had said, he stuck by Maddie’s side and even though she was a bit overwhelmed by all the attention she was getting from everyone, at the end of the school day, she found herself getting used to it.
“That class was so damn boring, Maddie. How do you even survive through that?” He complained and Maddie could not help but laugh.
They were in the hallway, heading towards her locker. “Yeah, now you see what I go through.” She chuckled.
He laughed in response. “Yeah, but I think that guy purposely did that to teach me a lesson. He knew I didn’t belong in the class.” He scoffed.
Maddie felt like this was true but she only mumbled in response, “Hmm.” They were now in her locker, she put in her combination, opened it, and placed her books there.
