Chapter 41. Contemplation

Maddie took in the words of the alpha, they were nice to hear but it did not mean that it was as simple. 

There was a lot going on in her life at the moment and she felt like she needed time to think everything through, but the thing here was that she did not have time. She did not have that luxury at all. 

With her birthday getting closer with each passing day, it felt like the walls were closing in. 

She knew she had to go to dinner with Jacob and his parents tomorrow night, how would the guy feel when he found out that she would be Nate’s date at the ball? She did not know what to do. 

She liked them, both of them. She wanted to be with both of them, but the thing here was that she could not. He needed to choose. Being with Jacob seemed easy, it felt like something that she should do. 

But she could not get the alpha out of her mind. She wanted him, his body and soul. She wanted to be his. But with him, things were so complicated. W
