Maddie was shoved to the ground by the girl and she fell hard, trying to soften her fall by landing by using her hands.

“Are you deaf? Answer the question, Bennett!” They laughed, towering over her like tall statues. “Answer the question, how are you friends with the alpha of the pack? That’s a huge deal, you know!”
