Chapter 42. Trust Issues

“Maddie, why are you so scared of going to Villa? Why did you even run away from there when I took you there the last time?” Nate asked her.

Maddie swallowed, her throat moving when she did. The events of that night played in her mind and it caused a shudder to run down her spine.“Can we please not talk about it?”

The car suddenly slowed down and they arrived at the side of the road. “Well, too bad because I’m not taking you home until we do.”

“Nate…please.” She really was not in the mood for this.

“Maddie, why did you leave the villa that night? How did you get home?”

Nervousness and anxiety clawed at her. Did he know that she had shifted for the first time? Did he know that she was the one who attacked Elder Roy?

She was not sure she had because she had blacked out but it felt like she had. It felt like it was her wolf that had attacked the guy.
