Chapter 48. The Mysterious Note

Maddie stared at the fixed window, her heart filled with fear and confusion. Could it be that the Omega House had fixed the glass? No, because how then did they happen to know that it was broken? 

Plus, they had a policy. If it was not broken by them, then they had no obligation to get it fixed. She examined it, going as far as touching the glass of the window to make sure that she was not hallucinating. 

But yeah, the window really was fixed. And it even looked way better than it did before. As Maddie decided to close the drapes, something fell down, startling her. She took a step back before looking at the floor for what had dropped. 

Then she saw a crunched-up paper, not far from the wall. Furrowing her brows, she picked it up from the floor. She did not remember using paper for the last few days so she felt like it didn’t belong to her. 

Opening the paper up, she confirmed it was definitely not from her. It had a foreign handwriting on it, so
