Author’s POV

Cassian had waited for too long. His father had already begun making moves, he had to make ones of his as well. He needed to get to the council before his father did, so he didn’t have enough to manipulate the table.

Maybe if he managed to get them on his side, he would be able to save Rhea in time or this kingdom. He hadn’t laid eyes on her for days now but he knew she was alive. He asked the nurse who took care of her and the guards who monitored the infirmary.

He wanted to go and see her again but he knew he couldn’t. His father would find out and only God knew what would happen then. If he would decide to kill her because he couldn’t do so before. After all Rhea was his pun.

He had sent a letter to the elder, asking that they assemble for a meeting. Only a few of them had responded to him, just four of them but they were quite important and he would take whatever audience he got.
