Sky’s POV

Someone’s firm hand wraps around my biceps, pulling me behind the fence, one step before I was inside the Potter house territory. As I try to move towards my mate, I am blocked by a wolf who growls at me fiercely. I turn my head towards the source of the growling and see Lowell, his eyes looking at me with familiarity.

The eyes that I used to wake up to so many times, the eyes that always made me feel safe and at home, the eyes that would almost disappear when he laughed hard enough, these are the eyes that I can never allow myself to become too familiar with.
