Chapter 5
Lucas observed as Ava’s chest rose and fell in annoyance at the news she had just received. She was certainly one dramatic small woman and he wondered if he was indeed willing to put up with her. If there was one thing he disliked, it was noisy and dramatic women.
“I will not marry Larry, daddy.”
“Lucas,” he dared to correct her for the tenth time that night, she so gave him a death stare that he could see flames exit her ears.
By the way, why did she always forget his name? No woman ever forgot his name. If anything, he was the one who did the forgetting. That was another attitude she had that bothered him and he was going to straighten her out on it but another time perhaps, she was already too out of it to heed to his corrections.
