Chapter 35. Unknown Girl

*** Many Years Later ***

Jack, a 19-year-old lad, lived in a rural Texas county of Bailey with his grandfather. Of his siblings, he was his grandfather's favorite. After attempting to contaminate his drink, Jack broke up with his stepmother. Jack now resides with his granddad in a tiny Texas county. He frequently visits the mechanic shop to fix the ancient truck owned by his grandfather.

While driving to the mechanic workshop on a Saturday afternoon to service the grandfather's truck, Jack came across an 18-year-old girl who was waiting for a lift by the side of the road. Her natural curry white hair sat well on her shoulders. Her skin was glowing under the sun and her beauty was second to none. Jack couldn’t resist but asked, "Where are you going this hot afternoon?" He drove closer to her, complementing as he did so and poking his head out the window.
