Drake’s POV
“You’re unbelievable,” she muttered.
“Probably.”
I pulled her against me and she inhaled sharply, but she didn’t push me away. The frustration of the last few days exploded between us. It wasn’t slow. It wasn’t sweet. It was hunger layered over anger layered over stress.
She matched me.
Against the wall first. Her fingers gripping my shirt. My hands at her waist. The air thick with unfinished arguments and unresolved desire.
By the time we moved deeper into the apartment, there was no conversation left. Just heat. Just movement. Just the desperate need to silence everything else.
When it was over, I stood there catching my breath, hands braced against the wall, trying to regain control of myself.
