Chapter 70. My Worst Nightmare
The horse she rode on was the fastest horse she had ever come across. They made it through before the gate was shut.
Spears were thrown from the east watch tower, and arrows were fired from the west watch tower, but none came near her. She was already out of reach of the spears, and for the arrows, she made a good move with the horse in dodging them.
She rode through the rocky patch narrow way, fleeing from Fayo’s mysterious castle.
Lacey had no idea where she was fleeing to, but it was better to continue fleeing than to be anywhere around the castle.

Lacey finally came to a halt near a stream. The horse needed some water to regain its strength. She led the horse by the rein to the stream and let him have a drink.
Thrusting her hand into her pocket, she found her cell phone intact. It was a good thing she didn’t toss it on her bed before she fell asleep. Lacey entered her code and swiped it open, but her hopes of calling for help were crushed—
