Chapter 6. New Beginnings
Olivia’s heart ached for her daughter and her pack. This wasn’t the right time to think about her mate who had died. She did not have the time to mourn for her mate; she had to step up and be the Luna that she was, but this time playing double roles.
Taking a deep breath, Olivia turned back to Charles. “Don’t say a word about this to anybody,” she hurriedly muttered, being as discreet as possible.
She didn’t want her pack to have any more burdens as it is, and moving to a new town isn’t an easy task, especially when it’s a town populated with humans. If she had a choice, they would’ve gone into the woods, but there was none.
Slowly breathing out, she rested her head on the window pane of the bus while it drove on the lonely road out of Arlington, a place that was once home to her and her people, a place they had settled in and thrived, everything all went down in ashes in one day, all lost and now they have to go into hiding.
