The next two days fly by in an instant.

While I feel bad for lying to Liam and keeping things from him like this—exclusively when it comes to my family and Koen finding me again—it’s the only way I know how to hopefully get him to leave us alone.

Once I’m able to show him cold, hard proof that there’s nothing I can do for him, he’ll have no choice but to go back to his pack and his father and figure something out on their own. My grandmother’s records, the archives, he can comb through them as much as he wants, but there’s absolutely nothing that Tristan or I have ever come across that has mentioned any kind of blood oath.

That would’ve been something that would’ve caught our eye while we’d been looking for answers about Liam’s family. Particularly if my grandmother had mentioned something that serious being tied back to me.

There’s no way either of us would’ve missed a piece of the puzzle that huge. And there’s absolutely no way my gran
