Chapter 30
“I am glad you are feeling much better, my lady.” I smiled at her. I noticed that the estate felt empty compared to when we left that morning. I was revealed to see that Rosen had already come to get the refugees we rescued and assumed this is what was putting Nocturne in such a good mood. I was mistaken.
“Of course I am feeling great. I finally get the reward I have been working so hard for.” She winked at me. I looked at her in confusion, not fully understanding what she was implying. This made her scowl. She grabbed me suddenly by the collar of my suit just as Sofia appeared to greet us. “We will be in my room…no one is to disturb us.” Nocturne growled out an order to Sofia. It surprised the maid, but she said nothing and just nodded. Nocturne then teleported us from the lobby to her bedroom.
