“Do forgive them, they have lost their manners over time.” She said to me. I scowled at her.

“And you have not?” I asked. “You are the one who got them onto this topic of marriage in the first place.” I reminded her. She shrugged, showing off a set of four different arms in the process.

“Perhaps a little.” She laughed lightly. Her demeanor then became serious. “But you really should not be so deadest on marrying that…filth.” She said.

“One person’s trash is another person’s treasure.” I said to her, pretending to be unfazed by her insult of Nocturne. Deep down, I was seething though.

“How could you ever consider here to be a treasure? She may be immortal but will never be a goddess. Kosma would never give up her title, not in a million years. It would be like waiting for the end of everything. It will never happen.”

“You sound quite certain in what you say.” I responded. “Tell me, does your job involve seeing or, better yet, determining the future?”
