He sighed after he spoke and Vic chuckled with a sarcastic tone, “Congratulations, then. You didn’t even have to know her intimately for 21 days before they picked up on her.”

Cain pierced him with a deadly stare after he said that. Like he wasn’t already killing himself with that and now he had to hear it from Vic. It was one of those moments where he just wanted to stab him in the neck.

Cain sighed, ignoring what he said to face the issue at hand. “Where you able to meet her father?”

“No. We couldn’t reach the man to set up a meeting.” Vic answered with a tone of disappointment.
