Chapter 78

“Hey! Take me with you!” Carrie waved at Jay when he drove past her while she waited for a cab but he didn’t stop.

Cain silently watched the car conveying Liana and Ryan. He took his eyes off and looked at the side of the road briefly and when he looked back, he saw the car Liana was in taking a turn to the right just before they swerved left. He looked at the policemen in the front seats through the rearview mirror with questioning eyes. One of the men looked back but said nothing.

Jay followed the two cars that had just left the clubhouse till they got to a junction and the police car turned to the left while Ryan’s private car, where Liana was turned right.

He paused, contemplating which car to follow; if to find out where Ryan was headed with Liana; or if to go know what he could do for Cain at the station after Ryan did what she did. He sighed and revved his bike up, taking the right turn and going after Ryan and Liana.

He hurried after them for a while
