The sound of car tires rolling into the compound pulled attention from everyone present at the clubhouse.

Cain had just stepped back from Liana, still watching her, still trying to read what she wasn’t saying anymore. He went back to the room and looked through its windows. He saw Jerry closing the gates to the compound. He was the one who had let the cars come in.

“Wait here,” He told Liana before heading outside. Jay and Vic and the others were out when he got there. The car came to a stop, dust settling slowly around it. The car doors opened and Ryan stepped out first. Two uniformed officers followed behind her with their police car.
