“Cain?” Jay called and he opened his eyes. Blinking repeatedly now, he tried to see Jay through the blur of his eyes. “You okay?”

“Yeah,” Cain was quick to say but Jay knew better.

“Don’t mind Vic, he’s just pissed over the whole situation.” He said and Cain just nodded. “We can leave her father out of this if that’s what you want. We’ll call…”

“No, let’s involve him.” Cain said. He would rather Liana was alive and with her father against her will than dead.

“You sure?”

“Yeah. Let’s… Let’s do that.” He swallowed.

“Okay. First problem, how do we reach him. We’ve lost contact with him since he cut our deal with him.”

“Steve.” Cain said.

“Steve? Who’s that?”

“He was just at my house, looking for Liana. I’ll ride around and see if I can find him. We can be able to reach Parley through him.”

“Oh okay,” Jay nodded and parted his back lightly. “I’ll let Vic know.” He said and headed inside quickly.
