Chapter 93

The clubhouse was quieter when they arrived. Jerry parked quickly and helped her off the bike before immediately pulling his phone out.

He started a video call. Carrie answered almost instantly. The moment she saw Jerry alive, her entire face lit up.

“Oh my God, you’re okay!”

Jerry laughed tiredly. “Yeah.” He scratched his sweaty forehead then he tilted the phone toward Liana.

Carrie’s scream nearly blew out the speaker. “LIANA?!”

Liana burst into laughter for what felt like the first time in forever. Carrie looked seconds away from crying.

“You idiot! Do you know how worried I was?! You were coming here and I had no idea?! We literally talked a few days ago!”

Liana grinned. “I’ve missed you too.”

Jerry smiled quietly at both of them before handing the phone fully to Liana.

“I’m gonna get you something to eat,” he said softly.
