Chapter 24

Mira’s POV

After seeing Lizzy, I felt happy once again. My friend had returned to me. But thinking about what she said about the vampire part got me confused.

I found myself remembering things as if they had been wiped out of my memory. Was Lizzy telling the truth about vampires, or was all this a joke?

Getting up from my bed where I had been sitting for such a long time, I walked to my window and imagined how Lizzy carried me alone with her as she leapt. Since I knew Lizzy, she had been scared of heights, so for Lizzy to do something like this, I think she was really telling the truth.

As I ran straight to my computer again, I searched for vampires, finding plenty of information as well as how to kill them. I noticed how Lizzy covered herself so the sun could not reach her. I couldn’t believe my friend was a freaking vampire.

I smiled after an idea appeared in my mind. Maybe she could scare the hell out of Vera a bit to teach her a lesson. I lay
