Lizzy’s POV

Liam was not happy after his father said I had to fight with a girl named Cara if I truly wanted to marry him. I remembered seeing that girl before when I was still human, but I didn’t know where. I walked into the room that had been given to me by the king. I wasn’t allowed to stay in the same room with Liam until I could prove I was truly the wife for him.

I sat on the bed, imagining how I would be beaten during the fight with Cara. I wasn’t a fighter, so how could I fight a girl who had been a vampire from birth? I kept wondering what to do as I felt confused, remembering how Mira told me never to lose hope in myself or reveal my weakness to them.
