Averting my gaze from his, because I could tell he kept staring at me as we drove silently in the car, I opted to look out the window, which I was sure was tinted from the outside.

I hadn’t noticed from outside because I was staring at his eyes while he carried me in—how they shone in the glimmering sun—but the moment I entered, it was obvious this was a limousine. Still, I shut my mouth.

When I turned my eyes back to him, sitting against the driver’s seat, the privacy partition had been put up. It hadn’t been closed before. I noticed him staring at me, up and then down. It seemed absurd.

“Where are we goi—” He interlocked his lips with mine, his tongue forcing deep into my mouth. I couldn’t help but succumb to his kiss. Before I could pull myself away, I felt something lock beside me. He pulled back as I heaved.

“So you do enjoy me.” His lips curled into a smirk.
