Chapter 31
RHIANNON
“I can’t… even see,” I muttered as I felt the makeup brush on my face.
“Give her a bit of space,” the man said in a French accent that sounded rather eloquent.
“Thank you,” I heaved, placing my hand on my chest.
“Can we begin now, ma’am?” the lady in a scarf asked as she brought out a palette of colors.
Oh God, I’ll have more makeup on my face than all the times I’ve worn it combined.
“Yes,” I answered, sitting up straight.
I could feel their hands on my hair, and brushes and tweezers on my face and brows.
After minutes of fussing and art—
“It is done,” he said, smacking his tongue.
I looked at my reflection in the mirror.
I look amazing. Oh my God.
“How do you like it, miss?” the lady asked as she placed her tools back into the box.
“You did amazing. I look fabulous.”
“You are fabulous. Your beautiful face made it easier to make you even prettier,” the man said.
