“So you don’t have any internal injuries, and all you will feel now are probably just body aches. By tomorrow morning, you should be on your feet,” Fitzwilliam spoke endlessly, never standing in one spot for a single second.
Matilda had obviously not been pleased with my reply, but she had hidden her anger well. Leaving me in guilty silence, she left the room and gave me enough time to consider my options.
