Chapter 3. Senseless Fight

She nodded her head at what he was saying. She knew for a fact that it was an accident. A delicious one. At that, her thoughts went haywire. There was a sense of calmness as if she belonged at that moment that she detested as well. Losing something precious and at the same time breaking her promise, although not on purpose, but still all the same.

She smiled and sighed, not focusing on what he was telling her. 

“Hello? Are you alright?” David said.

“Yes. I am fine. I will talk with you later. I have to get dressed for dinner. Are you accompanying us?” She asked, tight-lipped and flushing with embarrassment. Gosh, this is such an eventful day. I still cannot help but look back.

“Yes.” He smiled genuinely. 

‘She is just so damn beautiful and innocent. I cannot wait to get to know her.’ He was just so charmed by her that he did not notice her surprise at his answer to her question.
