Rose’s POV
“It’s so nice of you to come here, Rose.”
“I didn’t come on my own accord. Nathan made me.”
“Oh, did he? Well, you’re here now. You know today is my husband’s birthday.” She beamed.
“I’m happy for you, Ana,” I replied quietly, showing absolutely no interest or care for the price of information.
“Yes, I mean, it’s quite a special day for us, especially since he and Nathan are currently unboxing a little surprise for Nathan right now.”
I didn’t say anything in return.
“Don’t you think it’s weird, Rose, that my husband is the celebrant of the day and Nathan is the one getting surprised with a gift?”
