He continued to breathe his apologies into her ears incessantly, and although he could hear him well, she was at a loss for what to say to him. She was still in so much pain that she was afraid to burst into tears again.

“You lied to me,” she mumbled after she mustered the courage to talk to him about the issue.

“I really apologize for not informing you sooner. As you can see, I’m holding off till the appropriate moment.” He went on to explain, but she just shook her head as if she disagreed with his reasoning. He should have told her everything when he decided to see her again.

“And when is that?” She inquired, her tone implying that he had been lying from the beginning. She couldn’t believe that the same guy had been allowed to injure her for the second time. She distanced herself away from his tight embrace with a vengeance. “Can you tell me if it was also a lie when you said you loved me? Did you lie about it as well?”
