“I must say you are a beauty to behold,” Leslie said, sitting and pulling the chair closer to the bed. She put her elbow on the bed and plopped her head on her palm.

If not for Leslie’s eyes twinkling and her sincerity flowing through, Jessica would have just passed it off as flattery between upper-class ladies.

“Let’s be best of friends,” Leslie said again, taking her hand.
