"I must say you are a beauty to behold," Leslie says sitting g and pulling the chair closer to the bed. She puts her elbow on the bed and plops her head on her palm.

If not that Leslie's eyes were twinkling and her sincerity was flowing through Jessica would just pass it off as flattery between the upper-class ladies.

"Let's be best of friends," Leslie says again taking her hand.

"Okay," Jessica responds.

Leslie sounds too kind for her to turn down and she had no friends so finding one in the upper-class cycle would even be the best solution for her.

Since Leslie was willingly sincere and honest, she could take advantage of the opportunity in case she needed anything. She did not know what situation may arise that would make her need her but it's better to have a weapon and not use it than to need a weapon and not have it.
