With a salute like a young boy, Adriel left Adam’s office. Adam’s gaze then landed on a photo near his pen holder and paperweight. He picked up the photo, and his expression softened, reflecting a sense of longing.

The photo captured a moment from a summer vacation he had taken with Faith, a memory that was both unforgettable and their last vacation together. Adam caressed Faith’s face in the photo, and a deep sadness overtook his features.

After a few minutes, his phone rang. It was Adriel, waiting for Adam’s arrival at the meeting. Adam let out a sigh and ended the call, realizing he had to attend the meeting. He placed the photo back on his desk and prepared to leave for the meeting.

Adam rose from his chair, adjusting his coat and buttoning it up as he prepared to head to the meeting. Walking into the meeting hall, he felt the penetrating gazes of those present.

Taking his seat, he crossed his legs with an air of confidence. Adriel stepped forward and beg
