Chapter 10
An abyss of unfathomable darkness enfolded her; there was nothing to envision. A dark laugh echoed around, and a pair of gray-blue eyes daunted her reverie. Before she could scream or run for the hills, she felt a voice hiss near her and hands shaking her rapidly.
“Ayleen!”
“Ayleen!”
Ayleen instantly straightened up with a jolt, causing her a head rush, and stared to the left at a blurry figure.
“W-what time is it?” Ayleen questioned, or more like choked, and all she got was an annoyed sigh in return.
“Five a.m. Now, get up and get ready for work!” Lily turned on her heel and then headed to the bathroom.
Ayleen sighed heavily, rubbed her puffy eyes, and then got out from under the warm blanket. Her throat felt scratchy from all the screaming and crying she had done the night before.
