I downed my fifth glass of champagne with a grimace, unsure whether I would be able to take another minute of endless chatter from the small group of women who had surrounded me the moment Alex stepped away. Suddenly , the hair on my neck stood on end and I felt a pair of eyes on me.
I scanned the room until my gaze landed on a familiar face among the guests staring at me.
Leo raised his glass, a cocky grin on his face.
I blinked, thinking my eyes were playing tricks on me. Why the hell was Leo here?
