Chapter 49

Mia POV

I stepped out of the shower, putting on my bathrobe. Lukas was gone. He had left before I woke up.

I grabbed the blow-dryer and settled before the vanity.

I looked into the mirror, realizing I wasn’t alone in the room. Seated on the sofa was Mira, her legs crossed, staring at me. I jerked up with a start.

“Goddess, Mira! What are you doing here?”

“Well, that is an odd question. I’m your master”

For the past few weeks, I went through rigorous magic training, and so far it was working. Never would I have thought that one day, magic would come so easily to me.

However, the only problem I had was Mira.

Whenever it was time for training, she would appear at the most inconvenient time.

Once, she appeared while Lukas and I were about to make love.

“Haven’t you heard of the word privacy?” I asked through gritted teeth and a forced smile.

She grimaced. “What is that? Is it food?”

I released a sharp breath,
