Chapter 12. Anger Kicks
Kristain stretched out on his bed after storming off in anger, away from Riyadh. He shook his head as he replayed the conversation in his head. He couldn’t believe as cool as Mr. Nazir was, he would have a daughter as annoying and frustrating as Riyadh. He wondered how he cooed with her. Recalling the expression on Mr. Nazir’s face during the meal, he could see that he was also tired of his daughter as much as the rest of them were, and he couldn’t blame the poor man.
If Kristain could be fed up with her sassy attitude and bluntly rude words just after two days, he felt like he had to salute Mr. Nazir, who had been enduring it for the past twenty years.
He fizzled with rage, his fists clenching. How could she have said his hometown was boring? What gave her the effrontery? And she didn’t even feel any bad about being caught saying what she had said. He had no idea if he thought her bold or rude.
He wasn’t sorry, but his father would have to let him go just one more
