Chapter 9. Her Father’s Request
She slammed the door as she entered her bedroom, forgetting that she was not allowed to do so as a guest in someone else’s house. The servants loitering around her bedroom, who had seen her do what she did, glanced at each other and shrugged. Some who had heard of how rude she was but found it hard to believe nodded in confirmation of what they had heard.
She gasped in disbelief as she sat on the bed, fuming with rage, her hands clenched into tight fists. She wished she had them around Kristain’s neck instead. How dare he make her feel like dirt? He intentionally ignored her at the table rather than being shy, as his father had made an excuse for him.
He had said he didn’t want the salt when she had been asked to get it for him but readily accepted it when his sister offered it to him. She frowned, wondering if Yasmin had told him of what she did and planned with him to make her stay at their mansion for a holiday unbearable.
She shook her head. Yasmin didn’t seem
