Chapter 10. Food and War

Riyadh groaned, stretching in bed as she woke up. She thought against going out for breakfast but knew she would be asked, and her dad would also think she was acting up when he had warned her against it.

She shuddered at the thought of her father being mad at her and knew she didn’t want that. She didn’t want him to cut all her credit cards off when they got back home because he believed she embarrassed him.

She felt like crying at the word. How could he have said she embarrassed him? How could he? She was starting to think she would need to see a therapist after the holidays because it was already getting traumatic for her, and she had only spent a day at the mansion.

Grudgingly, she stood up from the bed and moved to the bathroom. Within minutes, she was freshened up and sat back on the bed, waiting for the servants to come to tell her breakfast was ready.
