Chapter 131. She Is Leaving
Kael’s POV
My breath caught in my throat as I walked sluggishly out of the restroom. I paused, hand on the doorknob, while my gaze darted around.
Emptiness clung to the room. From the couch she usually curled up in, my gaze shifted to the bed, and suddenly it felt too wide and lonely. And her eyes… I miss the way they softened whenever they found me.
Every thought felt like a knife twisting my heart. I exhaled, then inhaled before I closed the door behind me.
I trudged to the mini bar, took a wine and a glass, and sank into the couch.
I slumped on the chair, my hand swirled the glass of wine as I stared ahead. What was she doing now? Was she crying or hating me?
