A smile tugged at my cheeks, while the black wolf nestled against me, drawing a quiet laugh from my lips.

“How did you find me?” I asked, but he didn’t respond.

We sat outside the door, staying in silence for a brief moment. Suddenly, my eyes darted to the mansion that was not too far away.

The thought of Kael slipped into my mind. What will he be doing right now? Eating, busy with his pack, or probably moving on?

My heart tightened as I shook the thoughts away from my head. My toe curled as I felt the black wolf nudging me. My head snapped to his, and he started walking away to the woods.

My brow shot up, as I didn’t know if I should follow him to the woods, yet I found my legs already moving on their own, walking after him.

He turned to stare at me, before moving forward, we continued for a few more minutes. I sighed as it seemed like we had walked too far.
