Chapter 163. Away from the City

The days after came like a timelapse. After that weird night meetup with Lyle, he hasn’t messaged me again. That night, we departed from the café with no specific understanding of the matter. He only warned me about the capabilities of the Ridleys and I only told him I have nothing to be scared about.

Though I know every word he said is the truth. I’m only not giving him the satisfaction to say that he’s right.

Today, the company has an outreach program to this far-flung area from the city. There’s an elementary school in there with around 100 children. They’re from ages 7–13 years of age, and the company, being my father’s legacy, conducted its annual outreach program.

This time, the company has prepared school supply kits, feeding programs and instructional materials for their local teachers.

Everyone was excited to be a part of the program, and we also invited some representatives from the City Library to help with the books. The donated books
