Chapter 143. Long Distance

Michael’s POV

Cassandra hadn’t stopped smiling since we left my family house. Throughout the ride back home, she kept gushing about how sweet my mother was to her and how they didn’t even condemn her about her family background.

I packed the car in the parking lot and we walked hand in hand with our fingers intertwined, swinging back and forth as we walked toward my apartment building. Every few steps she would laugh softly, replaying something that had happened earlier.

“Your sister-in-law is incredible,” she said for what felt like the tenth time. “Lena saved me in most awkward situations and knew exactly what to say when I was lost of words.”

I chuckled. “Trust me, it takes a smart woman to be able to handle my cousin. Lucas is a tough one but Lena has been able to tame him, so there’s hardly any situation she won’t be able to handle.”

“Wow, she’s really awesome. i made sure i got her contact this time.” Cassandra’s eyes glowed with admiration
