Liana’s eyes widened and she dropped her cutlery in shock. “What? Is this some kind of joke?” She stood up from her seat. “What do you mean Lena got kidnapped?”
“I haven’t gotten the details yet. I will know what’s going on when I get back to Moonlit Pack,” I explained.
“I’ll go with you,” she said, grabbing her jacket.
“Liana, listen to me, you don’t need to go there,” I said gently but firmly, blocking her path. “Lucas already has the entire city looking for her. If you go now, you’ll only put yourself in danger too because we don’t know who took and why. Just let the guys handle this.”
“I don’t care,” she shot back, panic shimmering in her eyes. “My friend is missing, I can’t just sit here and do nothing.”
I took a deep breath. “I swear to you, I will keep you updated on everything. The moment we know anything, you’ll be the first to hear. Please… stay with your parents where you’re safe.”
